Individual Therapy
What to Expect:
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation for meaningful therapeutic work. This initial intake appointment typically lasts 60-75 minutes and includes a discussion of your personal history, current concerns, and goals for counseling. We may explore areas such as your medical, family, social, educational, and occupational background to gain a comprehensive understanding of your unique experiences. Completing the online intake forms prior to your appointment will help us make the most of our time together.
As therapy progresses, we will focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship, identifying your strengths, increasing self-awareness, and developing healthy coping strategies that support long-term growth and healing. Therapy is a collaborative process, and treatment is tailored to your individual needs and goals.
Follow-up sessions are typically 50 minutes in length. Most clients begin with weekly sessions, though the frequency may vary depending on your circumstances and preferences. Together, we will determine a schedule that best supports your progress, whether that is weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or on an as-needed basis.

Group Therapy
Group therapy can be a powerful and transformative experience. While each person's story is unique, many of our struggles are shared. Participating in a group offers the opportunity to connect with others who may be facing similar challenges, reminding us that we are not alone and that healing often happens in the presence of supportive community.
Groups are facilitated by a licensed therapist, but members are also encouraged to learn from and support one another. The shared experiences, encouragement, and insights that emerge within a group can foster growth, connection, and a deeper understanding of ourselves and others.
Many people initially worry about speaking in front of a group or sharing personal experiences. Rest assured, participation is always at your own pace. There is never pressure to share before you're ready. Simply listening, observing, and being present can be meaningful and healing. Often, group therapy provides a safe and supportive environment where people gradually discover their voice and build confidence in expressing themselves.
My groups are designed to be welcoming, respectful, and free from judgment. Members have the opportunity to learn new skills, practice healthy communication, receive support, and develop meaningful connections. As confidence grows within the safety of the group, many participants find it easier to apply these skills and insights in their everyday lives.
